The Mango Spice Route
In the warmth of summer, I discovered a timeless fusion. A family recipe, passed down through generations, blending mangoes with peri peri spices. This aromatic symphony inspired "Mango Peri Peri Mule," a vibrant cocktail that weaves:
Ingredients
- - 2 oz Tequila
- - 1 oz Mango Puree
- - 1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- - 1/2 oz Green Chilli Syrup (or 1-2 dashes green chilli juice)
- - 1/4 oz Kaffir Lime Leaf Syrup (or 2-3 kaffir lime leaves)
- - Salt, for rimming glass
- - Homemade Peri Peri Masala, for rimming glass
Steps
- 1. Rim a highball glass with salt and homemade Peri Peri Masala.
- 2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
- 3. Add tequila, mango puree, lime juice, green chilli syrup, and kaffir lime leaf syrup.
- 4. Shake vigorously for 10-12 seconds.
- 5. Strain into prepared glass.
- 6. Garnish with mango, lime, and cilantro.
