This bespoke Negroni-inspired creation has breezy, maritime influences and impeccable balance. Herbal, briny, and bittersweet, it reimagines the Negroni as a high-end cocktail with a coastal flair.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz premium gin (e.g., Monkey 47 or The Botanist)
  • 1 oz coastal vermouth* (see below)
  • 3/4 oz Gran Classico Bitter or Contratto Bitter
  • 1/4 oz fino sherry (for a whisper of salinity)
  • Garnish: Lemon twist and fresh thyme sprig

Steps

  1. Prepare the Glass: Chill a heavy crystal rocks glass with
  2. a large clear ice cube.
  3. Mix the Cocktail: In a mixing glass, combine gin, coastal
  4. vermouth, bitter liqueur, and fino sherry. Stir with ice
  5. until perfectly chilled and slightly diluted.
  6. Serve: Strain into the prepared glass over the large ice
  7. cube.
  8. Garnish: Express a fresh lemon twist over the surface
