Mutiny Daiquiri

Written by Dan Moberger
A riff on a classic daiquiri, made with a pomegranate molasses to add a bittersweet, fruity depth that complements the rums. Created for The Gallows in Boston’s South End.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce white rum
  • 1 ounce amber rum
  • 1 ounce pomegranate molasses
  • .75 ounces lime juice
  • Lime wheel for garnish
  • Pomegranate molasses batch recipe: 5 parts pomegranate juice, 3 parts honey, 1 part dark molasses

Steps

  1. On low heat, stir together pomegranate molasses ingredients just until combined. Allow to cool.
  2. Add cocktail ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake until chilled.
  3. Fine strain into coupe.
  4. Garnish with lime wheel.
