Cherry Sunset

Written by Rhys Andrew
This cocktail has a sweet and slightly sour taste that develops into a tropical less sour flavour as you drink with an interesting sunset appeal in a Hurricane glass for that tropical look. Or you can mix before drinking for a subtle cherry tropical flavour with a nice red colour

Ingredients

  • 60ml vanilla vodka
  • 10ml squeezed lemon juice
  • 30ml cherry syrup
  • 15ml cherry puree
  • 15ml ogreat
  • Top with pineapple juice
  • Garnish with orange wheel, cherry and pineapple

Steps

  1. Add all ingredients in to shaker apart from pineapple juice
  2. Add ice to shaker
  3. Shake until chilled
  4. Fill 3/4 of the glass (Hurricane glass) with crushed ice
  5. Strain mix to fill 1/2 of the glass
  6. Top off with pineapple juice
  7. Blend the middle for a faded blend giving it a sunset look
  8. Finally Garnish with an orange wheel and a cherry with pineapple chunk on a cocktail spike
