Whiskey Lima

Written by Erik Mansoor
As an animal control officer, we used the phonetic alphabet when speaking over the radio. Whiskey Lima is what we used to advise our dispatcher that we impounded some type of wildlife. After saying Whiskey Lima enough times I decided that it needed a corresponding drink. Whiskey is obvious but we needed something to represent Lima so I used Pisco. I found that cinnamon whiskey mixed with Grand Marnier and a dash of orange bitters rounded out the taste. Light and refreshing, this is suitable for any occasion year-round.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Barsol Pisco
  • 1 oz Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier
  • 2.5 oz Club Soda
  • 1 splash Orange Bitters
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry

Steps

  1. Fill a shaker with ice and pour all ingredients except the club soda and cherry over ice. Shake well and pour into a tall glass. Add club soda and cherry and stir gently.
  2. Enjoy with friends
